Synthesis and Characterization Study of Cobalt Doped ZnO Magnetic Nano-Particles (MNPs)

Abstract

In this study, 5% cobalt doped ZnO magnetic nano-particles (MNPs) were synthesized using chemical method. The structural, optical and magnetic effect of cobalt doping into ZnO were investigated using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Ultra visible Infra-Red (UV-IR), Photoluminescence (PL) and Superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) techniques. The structural properties of nano-materials include particle size and lattice strains were estimated by XRD data. Existences of nano-particles in to the samples were verified by Ultra visible absorption technique. The observed hysteresis by SQUID at 5 K revealed the super paramagnetic behavior and temperature dependence magnetization of magnetic nano-particles respectively.

Comparative Analysis of Different Control Schemes for DC-DC Buck Converter

Abstract

DC-DC converter is some power electronic circuits that convert the DC voltage from one level to another. They have a very large area of applications ranging from computing to communication. They are widely used in appliance control, transportations and high-power transmission. Its increasing demand is based on its capability of electrical energy conversion. The basic topology of DC-DC converter are Buck converter and Boost converter, other topologies are derived from this two basic topology. Mathematical modelling of both Buck converter and Boost converter is done. In this paper the mathematical modeling for buck converter is performed. Some of the control schemes are summarized in this paper which includes Internal Model Control based PID control and Genetic Algorithm based PID control. Extensive simulation is carried out and the results are compared on the basis of transient parameters.

Abstract

Construction automation is generating much interest in the construction community over the last two decades. Conventional industrial robots occupy a fixed position within a work cell and the work-piece is brought to the robot. But, construction robots must travel to the workplace. A key requirement is the ability to move successfully from one work location to another. The robots employed in construction have followed the same concept as those employed in manufacturing. Building robots have been employed in various tasks including materials handling, various interior and exterior finishing tasks, and quality control. The serious problems faced by the industry are continuously declining productivity, low labor efficiency, high accident rate, low quality; insufficient control of the construction site, and the vanishing of a skilled workforce............

Abstract

Steganography is a technology where modern data compression, information theory, spread spectrum, and cryptography technologies are brought together to satisfy the need for privacy on the Internet. The art of information hiding has received much attention in the recent years as security of information has become a big concern in this internet era. As sharing of sensitive information via a common communication channel has become inevitable, Steganography – the art and science of hiding information has gained much attention. This paper presents a mechanism of storing the secret message using color mapping and symbol mapping tables using LZW compression. Multiple parameters like capacity and processing time have been evaluated. Various experiments have been conducted and the results are analyzed in this paper.

Abstract

The ultimate intention of this thesis is to achieve a better understanding of how some critical factors for the successful application of knowledge management (KM) can effect on e-business in companies. Besides, this study prepares a framework discriminating three dimensions of ebusiness: e-information, e-communication and e-workflow. KM covers an extensive range of usefulness and sustains various sets of activities and supposed that the KM success, are the Key Success Factors (KSFs) on the contributions of quality and quantity to the system. Therefore, to achieve the research objective, this work limits the field of investigation to that key success factors for KM, devoted to the formalization and the sharing of best practices and experiences within the organization and also examination of the influences and relationships between KSF and e-business.........

Abstract

The World Wide Web is growing exponentially with huge amount of textual content. There is a need of effective techniques to cluster the similar documents into groups and to retrieve most relevant documents to user queries. The information retrieval field mainly deals with the grouping of similar documents to retrieve required information to the user from huge amount of data. The researchers proposed different types of similarity measures and models in information retrieval to determine the similarity between the texts and for document clustering. In this work, the experimentation carried out with various similarity measures on different types of standard datasets. The main objective of this work is analyzing the influence of similarity measures to match a given query against a set of indexed documents.

Abstract

The retaining wall is generally employed for the construction of railways, highways, water front structures. Proper design of retaining wall is beneficial to retain earth at different levels on its either side to overcome the space scarcity. In this paper,Opposition based differential evolution (ODE) method being a global search technique is proposed to design the retaining wall maintaining the stability and geometry aspects.The opposition based learning strategy is applied to select the good candidates. To maintain the diversity in the population, migration strategy has been applied.The proposed ODE method enhances the capability to explore and exploit search space globally as well as locally.To design the retaining wall, the weight and cost of the retaining wall are minimized subject to feasible constraints...........

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to solve different types of initial value problems (IVPs) for space time fractional transport equations, space time fractional diffusion and wave equations as well as space time fractional Airy's equation using the Adomian decomposition method. The method is successfully applied and series solution of initial value problems are obtained, converging to a function known as solution function of the initial value problems.

Abstract

In the present paper, a stochastic model for a hardware-software system has been developed considering various kinds of failure that the system may encounter and recovery mechanism may be employed. The system may have hardware, software or hardware-based software interaction failures wherein the hardware-based software interaction failures occur due to undetected hardware faults in the system. Consequently, the system may transits from normal operative mode to either degraded hardware, software or to complete failure mode. The possibilities of human errors and common cause failures have also been taken wherein the common cause failures lead the system to complete failure mode whereas human errors may lead to hardware/software failure mode or to complete failure mode............

Abstract

Educational Data Mining is evolving as an important field of research that helps in predicting the performance of the students. Eventually, an educational institution can plan some strategies by the results obtained from an EDM process and improve the performance of the student. In EDM, prediction accuracy is the crucial concern. A feature selection algorithm removes the extraneous data and helps in increasing the accuracy of the classifier. Just a mere feature selection algorithm might not be completely helpful and hence to improve the performance of the classifier we perform an ensemble method on the classifier. An ensemble method produces different models and combines them to produce improvised results. We then evaluate various feature selection algorithms with their respective accuracies and then conclude the best possible feature selection algorithm for various classifiers on which the ensemble method is applied, for the data set.

Abstract

In a World full of communications, it is essential to protect the data in order to ensure the privacy of the users. There is a lot of sensitive data present in the web and it needs to be protected. Conventional security methods like RSA,DES,AES algorithms and others are no longer sufficient enough to protect the data from any kind of potential abuse. Complex algorithms are required to encrypt the data which makes it difficult to break and ensures the security of data from theft by any third parties.We proposed an Enhanced Encryption Algorithm based on Prime number, DNA sequence and PI sequence which is used to encrypt the data in a more secured and complex manner. Our algorithm uses two different keys to produce the cipher text where one of them is generated with the help of a PI sequence which has nearly billions of digits with non repeating sequences and the other with a DNA sequence which has nearly 3.3 billion combinations. It produces different cipher text for the same plain text which confuses the hacker to achieve the original text and makes it near impossible to break it.

Abstract

In present times, healthcare domain has vast amount of data from prescriptions, treatment costs and outcomes, diagnostic tests, patient care records, insurance claims, immunization laws, available vaccines and many other fields because data gets collected on daily basis. The resultant healthcare data has certain characteristics that make its analysis very challenging and attractive. In this paper, we have developed a data mining based model for the classification of child immunization data. As immunization is an important part of healthcare, an attempt has been made to classify the child immunization data of Jammu and Kashmir state by applying Naïve Bayes classification approach of data mining. The data is classified into two class labels viz. Focus Districts and Non Focus Districts. A tool using Java NetBeans has been developed to carry out the classification.

Abstract

The information retrieval from semantically equivalent relational databases is a major challenge to the end users. More over the data retrieval from different languages and presenting to the knowledge workers is a major challenge. The query can be translated to various languages from native language to the target language and retrieving the data from various database schemas which are structurally different is a problem. This paper proposed a framework with such capability and displaying the results using the translator, wordnet and domain knowledge databases.
