International Journal of Computational Engineering Resaerch, Volume 07 ~ Issue 5 (May 2017)

Abstract

The main purposes of construction service providers are to maximize profits. This is derived from the difference between the total contract value and the total cost used, so the lower the proposed price offers are feared to sacrifice and affect the quality of the work. This study aims to analyze what factors affect the value of the value of price offers for the service providers and how it affects the quality construction, using qualitative and quantitative methods with primary data in the form of questionnaires to construction and consulting service providers, committing officers and secondary data from the offer price of service providers and inspection reports on construction works.......

International Journal of Computational Engineering Resaerch, Volume 07 ~ Issue 5 (May 2017)

Abstract

Due to space limitations in urban areas, deep excavation in to the ground has become a common practice worldwide. Among the conventional retaining support systems, this study is focused on secant pile walls. The secant pile methodology comprised the formation of overlapping concrete piles. The overlap between the piles is achieved to prevent soil and ground water ingress. The analysis of these deep excavations involved consideration of soil parameters, deformation, interaction of soil and retaining configuration. It is difficult to precisely describe the nonlinear system using traditional analysis. Thus, in order to accurately describe the behavior of the anchored secant pile for earthquake loading, 3D finite element simulation was applied.......

A Real Time Abandoned Object Detection and Addressing using IoT
Ketaki Shet || Prof. S.V. Khobragade
India
Paper Indexed : : 03.3005/xxxxxxx
International Journal of Computational Engineering Resaerch, Volume 07 ~ Issue 5 (May 2017)

Abstract

Most of the bomb blast were done with the help of abandoned objects. So, effective and efficient detection and Real time localization of abandoned objects is very important to prevent attacks. This paper gives an algorithm for detection with less complexity. For foreground detection two background short term and long term are constructed and updated continuously in real time. For change detection Mean-ratio and Log-ratio operators are used. To achieve higher accuracy fusion and fuzzy clustering can be applied on both outputs......

Paper Indexed : : 03.3005/xxxxxxx
International Journal of Computational Engineering Resaerch, Volume 07 ~ Issue 5 (May 2017)

Abstract

The high potential for workplace accident risk in the implementation of construction work makes the safety system on a construction project as a fundamental requirement. This study aims to analyze the management of occupational safety systems on the Underpass Development Work Project of the intersection of Mandai Makassar and explain the effect of the implementation of the safety system on the effectiveness of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) policy. Data were obtained from questionnaires, interviews and direct observations at project sites and document data obtained from related institutions, comparative, qualitative and quantitative analysis with the help of SPSS program.......

Paper Indexed : : 03.3005/xxxxxxx
International Journal of Computational Engineering Resaerch, Volume 07 ~ Issue 5 (May 2017)

Abstract

Vertical radial stiffness for Ceat 90/100R10 tyre was measured using three different inflation fluids Air, Nitrogen and Argon. Tyre stiffness plays an important role in vehicle ride comfort, stability and damping of vibrations. The stiffness was measured using Load-Deflection method for different inflation pressures, inflation fluid and gradually increasing load in static condition. The stiffness was analyzed at inflation pressure [24, 26, 28, 30, 32, 34 psi] and load range [20, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120, 130, 140, 150 kg] for different inflation fluid filled in the tyre.

Indonesia
Paper Indexed : : 03.3005/xxxxxxx
International Journal of Computational Engineering Resaerch, Volume 07 ~ Issue 5 (May 2017)

Abstract

International Airport of Sultan Hasanuddin in Maros is one of the airports with dense activity, causing noise disturbance for the surrounding area. This study aims to analyze the increase of noise level in 8 residential areas between 2011 and 2016 due to airport operational activities and appropriate noise level protection in the residential area. This research is descriptive qualitative and quantitative using WECPNL noise analysis. The results showed that there was an increase in noise, and the protection that was done by planting Polyathialongitalia trees. It could be the basis to overcome the noise level in housing around the International Airport of Sultan Hasanuddin..

International Journal of Computational Engineering Resaerch, Volume 07 ~ Issue 5 (May 2017)

Abstract

Pedestrian line on Percetakan Street in Jayapura city still need to get handling to pedestrian performance. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of pedestrian traffic, to know the condition of pedestrian infrastructure and analyzing the pedestrian performance. This study uses qualitative descriptive method, Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) and service quality. The results showed that pedestrian traffic characteristic in segment 1 was average of 52 people/ hour, Segment 2 was on average 70 people/hour, and segment 3 was on average 82 people/hour. The condition of pedestrian facilities and equipment has not met the standard.............
